I consider myself an outdoor enthusiast & very passionate when it comes to fishing & the outdoors. I thank my parents for this, having them introduce fishing to me at a young age. I find being Spoiled having the Columbia River & tributaries flow through our beautiful city & surrounded by two major lakes that provide great freshwater fishing. That said, has given me the opportunity to use many techniques, whether it’s swinging a fly in mountain rivers or trolling spoons & plugs in big bodied water or drifting floats with a centerpin, until hard water fishing starts. There are always a time & place for many techniques to enjoy this great sport. I have studied fish & their habitat & continue to learn many things when it comes to fishing. I find if you have the knowledge share it, as it can be rewarding Being able to teach others that get into this great sport. If I’m not fishing I’m out in the outdoors capturing wildlife with my camera or simply spending time on an outdoor adventure with my family.
I’m currently sponsored by other Canadian companies & excited to be part of another Canadian company such as Spitfire’s lures where I can field test & show what Spitfire products can produce.
Fishing is always a continuous learning curve, and we’re always trying to make things work better or try new designs. I grew up fishing when I was a kid and learned from many people including from fishing TV shows, like “luck is an attitude” from Nice Fish Gary Cooper. After fishing lakes and rivers, I then transferred my knowledge into ocean fishing. It is true with good attitude will bring better luck. I started catching more trout from different lakes in BC. Then, I started catching all diverse types of salmon in different rivers in BC. I learned to fly fish and caught variety of trout in BC. But catching Artic Grayling on the fly in the river made me feel lucky. Then I focused on ocean fishing once I moved to South Vancouver Island. I am humbled to be a pro-staff for Spitfire Lures. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have questions about these products.
